District 7 Financial Allocations
Annually, DeKalb County Commissioners receive discretionary funds to invest in meanngful projects and initiatives. As of November 30th 2021, I have allocated $2,968,586.17 of $4,143,571.42 in avaiable discretionary funds.
As a Commissioner, I have sought transformative and noteworthy programs and projects to meet the critical needs of DeKalb County residents, including funding South DeKalb’s first Park Naturalist, reviving the DeKalb County Regional Land Bank, and investing in and creating the E.M.B.A.R.C. Youth Farm. I have provided funding to help meet the rent, utility and food insecurities created by the Coronavirus and funded a comprehensive study to facilitate the construction of the long overdue DeKalb Convention Center, while supporting veterans, seniors and youth initiatives. A complete outline of my efforts can be found below.
